Firefly

Firefly is the best possible solution for letting your kids explore the Internet on their own for the first time.

It has a simple interface that limits its visible buttons to forward, back, stop, favorites, and home.

The browser will only visit pages that you have previously added to an approved list. Those sites will also appear in the favorites menu.

Firefly includes a text box for Google searches, but you won't be able to visit any of the resulting pages unless they are on the approved site list.

Another feature included in Firefly lets you limit the time when the program will run. So, if you don't want your kids up in the middle of the night surfing the web, you can establish a set schedule when they are able to connect.
